BT offers FTTC/P starting 25th January

BT announced that they will start offering FTTC and FTTP services starting 25th January. They are planning to cover 40% of the UK by the middle of 2012.

It is also very interesting their price structure. They are offering 40 Mbps down, 10 Mbps up for less than 30EUR a month. This is quite cheap if we compare with Telefonica FTTH Futura service, which costed 85 EUR a month for 30 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up…

The fact is that all most of the european incumbents are starting to offer FTTH deals and deploy new access infrastructures… all but Telefonica…
