Europe Says It Leads U.S. in Broadband Use ??

I found some news at NY Times which are really interesting:

Europe Says It Leads U.S. in Broadband Use

I do not know how they measure broadband use but I would say that here in Spain, we do not have the same level of broadband use than in the US, as the report says…

In any case, this shows again the huge deviation between what our politicians say and what the tech people thinks about the developments of broadband technologies.

Now, for example, I am having some days of relax near the beach. The broadband options that we have here are ADSL at 1Mbps down / 256kbps up or 3G connectivity…

I am using my iPhone,  which at leasts offers me the chance to read e-mails and be connected with the rest of the world… Is this broadband?
